Free CNA Training is available for those who are looking to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Usually, you can enroll yourself in a programs through your employer, such as the hospital that you work at, through online CNA Training courses, or through vocational training schools. Additionally, if you are a high school student who is interested in entering the field of nursing and you know that you want to become a certified nursing assistant, you may be able to snag a full-ride to a university or community college who offers CNA training.

Is Free CNA Training Worth It?

Yes, absolutely. Becoming a certified nursing assistant can cost hundreds or thousands of dollars, and in today’s economy, it’s important to save as much mone as possible. Although not everyone will be qualified for loans and grants to become a nursing asistant, we can say that if you work hard enough, and have the right motivation, there is a better chance that you can recieve a full ride to the school or program of your choice.

The Dual Enrollment Program

This is just for high school students, but can determine whether or not you recieve aid for your CNA training program. If you are currently a high school junior and hold a GPA (Grade Point Average) of 3.5 or higher, then you will most likely qualify for a dual enrollment program at your local community college. To enroll in this program, bring your current grade reports to the local community college in which you wish to enroll, and submit them with your enrollment papers. Once you are enrolled, you may sign up for your classes (the CNA training program offered through the school) and begin attending. These programs are a great way to get ahead of the game, and ultimately begin your new career.

FAFSA For CNA Training

FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid, is a program designed to help students anywhere get through college. FAFSA was designed to be simple, and quickly provide you with the necessary funds to help you finish school. For those of you hoping to become a certified nursing assistant, FAFSA is available for you to use. As a note: single mothers or fathers who are already in a lower income bracket will have a much better chance of recieving free money from FAFSA than other people. The program takes into consideration costs of living, income, and number of people per household. If there are three people in your household, and two are in school, then that’s a good thing for you, as you will qualify for more grants.

Free CNA Training Through the Red Cross

The Red Cross is a great program for those interested in becoming a certified nursing assistant. They provide many different programs and classes for those who are interested, and you may even be able to get into these classes for little to no cost to you. Since the need for CNAs is ever increasing, with the number of people over the age of 65 years being higher than it has ever been, the Red Cross is doing it’s part by actively training people to becoming certified nursing assistant, free of charge. To take advantage of this, visit your local Red Cross branch to see if the programs are still going on.
